Do you wake up with a dry mouth, a scratchy throat, or a partner who says you snore? There's a good chance you are breathing through your mouth at night. PurelyGoods Mouth Tape keeps your lips gently closed so that you naturally breathe through your nose, allowing the air to be filtered, warmed, and humidified before it reaches your lungs. This pack contains 33 strips: about a month's supply with daily use.
The tape is a soft strip with a skin-friendly adhesive that you apply over closed lips. It stays on all night but releases in the morning if you press lightly against it with your tongue. No medication, no brace, just a gentle reminder for your mouth to stay closed.
People who breathe through their mouth snore more often, wake up feeling less rested, and become dehydrated at night. By keeping your lips closed, your body automatically breathes through the nose. This can reduce snoring caused by mouth breathing and keeps your mouth and throat moist. If you snore primarily from the throat, an anti-snoring mouthpiece works better; if you have a stuffy nose, nasal strips are the first step.
Most people find the idea of having their mouth taped shut uncomfortable on the first night. Start during the day, for half an hour on the couch, so you notice that you can breathe through your nose just fine. After two to three nights, the tape won't feel strange anymore. Ensure your lips are slightly moist when applying; in the morning, press against it with your tongue and slowly peel the strip off.
Only use if you can breathe freely through your nose; do not use if you have a stuffy nose, a cold, or an infection. Do not use if you have (a suspicion of) sleep apnea or in combination with a CPAP machine; in those cases, consult a doctor first. Stop immediately if you experience shortness of breath, discomfort, or skin irritation. For ages 12 and up. If you can breathe freely through your nose and want to switch from mouth to nasal breathing at night, this monthly pack is the way to give it a try.
PurelyGoods Mouth Tape (33 pieces)
You wake up with a bone-dry mouth, a hoarse throat, or unpleasant breath. Your partner pokes you at night because you're snoring. During the day, you feel tired, even though you think you've slept well. Chances are you unconsciously breathe through your mouth while sleeping. Mouth breathing dries out your mucous membranes, amplifies snoring sounds, and disrupts your deep sleep phases.
PurelyGoods Mouth Tape gently keeps your lips closed, ensuring you automatically breathe through your nose. Nasal breathing filters, warms, and humidifies inhaled air. The result: less dry mouth, reduced snoring, and deeper sleep, for both you and whoever sleeps beside you. The breathing hole in the middle provides reassurance: you can always breathe.
This mouth tape is more compact than most alternatives. This makes the strips more discreet and less noticeable on your face. In the morning, the strip releases smoothly without pulling or irritation. The breathing hole in the middle gives you confidence: you can always breathe, even if your nose briefly gets blocked.
Results vary per person; this is what users report on average.

DID YOU KNOW?
Nasal breathing produces nitric oxide (NO), a substance that dilates your blood vessels and improves oxygen uptake in your lungs. Mouth breathing bypasses this mechanism.

Mouth tape can help keep the lips closed when mouth breathing is a factor, but the evidence for reduced snoring or better sleep is still limited. A dry mouth can also be caused by medication, dehydration, or a stuffy nose. Therefore, view mouth tape as a tool, not as a treatment or a guarantee.
Do not use mouth tape if your nose is congested, if you are short of breath, nauseous, have consumed alcohol or sleeping pills, or if sleep apnea is suspected or being treated without the approval of your healthcare provider. Not for children. Test during the day first to see if you can breathe calmly through your nose and stop if you experience any discomfort.
Clean and dry your skin and lips, close your lips in a relaxed position, and apply one strip according to the instructions. Press down lightly only on the edges. Try the strip briefly while awake first. Remove it gently; stop if skin irritation occurs or if nasal breathing becomes difficult. Each strip is for single use.
Yes. When using one strip per night, this pack contains about a month's supply and is suitable for gradually getting used to using it. If you already use mouth tape regularly, compare the 90-count pack or a subscription. Never choose based on pack size alone; the ability to breathe through your nose safely remains the primary requirement.
The tape is intended to stay on all night when applied to clean, dry skin. Only press the edges down lightly and remove it gently in the morning. For most people, skin-friendly tape leaves little to no residue; test it briefly while awake first and stop if redness or irritation occurs.
The PurelyGoods Mouth Tape is suitable for mouth breathers, light snorers, and anyone who wakes up with a dry mouth or throat, or who sleeps restlessly due to open-mouth breathing. The strips are skin-friendly and suitable for daily use from the age of 12. Only use the mouth tape if you can breathe freely through your nose. Not suitable for sleep apnea or if using a CPAP machine, if you have a stuffy nose/cold, or if your skin is damaged or irritated. Do you experience shortness of breath or discomfort? Remove the tape immediately.
